The Swan - A little bit about us
Where so many pubs have become fully food led, we have made a point of retaining "the good old fashioned local" where our customers get to chat, drink, play a game of pool and enjoy music from our jukebox.
Stepping into our restaurant is like stepping into the Wild West. Our "Smokehouse Saloon" restaurant has been remodelled with rickety tables and wild west pictures, all made using recycled timbers. Whilst enjoying their meals, our diners get to feast their eyes on our rifles, bow n' arrows, native american head dress and other wild west memorabelia.
To compliment "the look" and inspired by cowboy life out on the range and the smokey ranch houses at nights, we have worked with our Chef to bring an exciting menu of quality meats, meats and more meats.
We have something for everyone from succulent and fall off the bone ribs, to tasty and tender steaks, smoked brisket, smoked pulled pork, 100% beef burger, jalapeno hot link sausages, chicken, fish, vegetarian dishes and a young 'uns menu.
Great Food! Great Beer! Great Times

Winterbourne village is mentioned in the Domesday Book so come and see us, enjoy soaking up the atmosphere, history, food and drink.

In SWINEHEAD Hundred
in the time of King Edward there were in the revenue 36 hides in BITTON,
with its two members, WAPLEY and WINTERBOURNE.
In lordship there were 5 ploughs; 41 villagers and 29 smallholders with 45 ploughs.
18 slaves with 1 mill.
In the time of King Edward this manor paid one night's revenue; now it does likewise

Soft drinks and coffee are always available and there is a children's menu for the younger diners in your party.
Talking of parties, the Swan is a great place to hold one, why not bring your friends and family here for celebrations. That way, you can leave the cooking, and more importantly the clearing up to us.
